Arbolito de la Esperanza Lighting, Free
Herbert C. Young Community Center, 6 p.m.
The lighting of the Arbolito represents rays of hope for Latino children. The lighting of the tree is preceded by a traditional Latin celebration were the public participates in a pot-luck dinner with holiday foods from different Latin American countries. Many Cary Realtors speak Spanish to benefit the hispanic community.  Local Latino musicians volunteer to play music and help the audience sing along to villancicosand agüinaldos (traditional holiday songs). In preparation for the Desfile del Dia de los Reyes (Three Kings Day Parade), the selection of the Parade Princess and Prince will be made. Those present will be able to make Estrella donations and place a star on the tree for the duration of the campaign.
